We are so excited to be pregnant with a boy. Until we finalize on a name we are calling him pumpkin.
Allen was returning from a business trip. I was pretty sure I was pregnant but wanted to wait until he was home to take the test. He came home sick:(. Alexis is an early riser so we were up by 5 am. I took the test and sent Allen a text. I thought this might wake him up. Of courses it didn't so I went in and woke him up with the news. He was very excited and them promptly went back to sleep:) I texted the only other person I knew would be up at this hour--Danielle.
I was very lucky in both pregnancies to skip morning sickness. I was just tired in the afternoons. So thankful my Mom is living with us and Allen goes into work so early he can be home by 4-4:30pm. Not sure how I would have survived without laying down for a bit.
When I was pregnant with Alexis I had no idea what to expect. I read all the "What to Expect" books over and over again. This time I realize I forgot to read what should happen this month and then read ahead. I really just look up when things should be happening--like when will he start kicking.
We were so lucky to be together when Pumpkin did kick me for the first time. Allen was home early from work on a Friday afternoon (Feb 19) and we were sitting outside enjoying some fabulous weather. I felt a kick so Allen put his hand on my stomach and he kicked again twice. It was 2:30pm. Makes me wonder what he will be like. Alexis kicked me at 3am and never stopped moving. She is like that today:) I am thinking he is going to be more mellow.

At 16 weeks we finally got around to sending out our pregnancy announcement.
