Alexis

I miss posting pictures of Alexis on a monthly basis.  Thought I would share some pictures and what she has been up to lately.

She loves playing peek-a-book.  She is so cute, she will hide behind us with her hands on our back.  Then when she comes out from behind us she is laughing.  It is so cute.

Alexis loves playing with her walker.  She finally figured out how to turn it herself so she would not run into the walls or the couch.  Made it so much nicer for us...not having to walk around with her while she played.  She is walking now on her own. She still needs a wall or leg or something to lean on to pull herself up.

She is a great eater.  She prefers to feed herself.  Sometimes she uses her spoon or fork but most of the time she just uses her hands.  She loves yogurt in the morning.
Here she was enjoying some pizza.  As you can see it was everywhere. We had to take a bath after this meal.

She is learning to ask for what she wants...well really this looks like a demand.
Just relaxing after a good meal while Mom washes the dishes.
Sitting with friends after one of our workouts
 Playing in Mom's closet
Shopping with Mom and enjoying a Mum-Mum snack
In January we started swim lessons at Aqua-Tots.  We go every Saturday for thirty minutes. This was her first class.  She is getting better about going underwater.  Guess I am less nervous about it. She loves the water.
She is going to be an engineer. Always stacking things and looking under them.  Having some fun with our lunch.
Some friends gave us this tube.  She loves crawling through it.
Dressed warm for our outdoor workout in 50 degree weather.  Looking so cute.
 Playing at the park
She thinks she is hiding. So cute.
 Watching Sesame Street with Daddy
Walking with Nana. She will take your hand and want you to walk her around the house.
Walking on her own. She gets so excited. She usually walks on her tippy toes.
She loves putting blocks in her mouth and walking around. So funny she put one in Dad's mouth
Wearing Dad's hat

She likes pulling the cord for the fan
Playing with friends after our workout. With Jasmine and Kyle
This was the first attempt at our pregnancy announcement.  Alexis didn't want to stand still:)
Riding around in our Mini-Mouse Car
 Talking on the phone
Wearing my baby hat and playing with my baby doll.  Love this ladybug outfit from Aunt Danielle
We went to the zoo with some friends.  At the petting farm she walked right up to the goat and pet it.  She has no fear.

Looking cute in her watermelon outfit
Enjoying some pizza crust.  Looks like I feed her a lot of pizza:)

We have had a great few months.  Alexis is turning 15 months this month.  She still takes two naps a day (most days) and sleeps 11-12 hours at night. She weighs 22-23lbs.  She has 10 teeth and many more on the way.  She is such a happy girl.

Valentine's Day 2016

Allen was off on the Friday before Valentine's Day. It was such a beautiful day. We decided to take Alexis to the zoo. We enjoyed a nice walk. Saw some animals. Let Alexis run around for a bit. Then had lunch.

Pumpkin

I know what many of you are thinking. They didn't think they wanted kids and now they are having another one.  When people would say it is different when it is your child I used to dismiss them and say no it really can't be different.  But now I totally get it.  It has been an amazing journey.

We are so excited to be pregnant with a boy. Until we finalize on a name we are calling him pumpkin.

Allen was returning from a business trip. I was pretty sure I was pregnant but wanted to wait until he was home to take the test. He came home sick:(. Alexis is an early riser so we were up by 5 am. I took the test and sent Allen a text. I thought this might wake him up.  Of courses it didn't so I went in and woke him up with the news.  He was very excited and them promptly went back to sleep:)  I texted the only other person I knew would be up at this hour--Danielle.

I was very lucky in both pregnancies to skip morning sickness.  I was just tired in the afternoons.  So thankful my Mom is living with us and Allen goes into work so early he can be home by 4-4:30pm.  Not sure how I would have survived without laying down for a bit.

When I was pregnant with Alexis I had no idea what to expect.  I read all the "What to Expect" books over and over again.  This time I realize I forgot to read what should happen this month and then read ahead.  I really just look up when things should be happening--like when will he start kicking.

We were so lucky to be together when Pumpkin did kick me for the first time.  Allen was home early from work on a Friday afternoon (Feb 19) and we were sitting outside enjoying some fabulous weather.  I felt a kick so Allen put his hand on my stomach and he kicked again twice. It was 2:30pm.  Makes me wonder what he will be like.  Alexis kicked me at 3am and never stopped moving.  She is like that today:)  I am thinking he is going to be more mellow.

At 16 weeks we finally got around to sending out our pregnancy announcement.

I don't have any good ultrasound pictures to share yet. In two weeks I will have the 20 week ultrasound and hopefully we have some good pictures and a video.

So excited to be having a boy.  His current due date is July 26th.
