How to pick a baby name

How do two type A people choose a baby name?  Well we started with research on the Internet...researching how to pick a name, recommended books, strategies.  We purchased one book on baby names that was of course highly recommended.  The book listed the popularity of the name, famous people who have this name, the meaning of the name and suggested sibling names.  We also found websites with the top baby girl names. Some seemed weird to me...I mean is there really a lot of people who name their baby Precious or Princess. Enough to make it to the list of popular names? 

Allen and I each made a list of names we liked and reviewed them together.  Of course we didn't just read them to each other...that would be normal and easy:)  For those of you who know Allen understand his love of Excel.  He can put anything into that program. He added all the names we both liked and made a drop down list so we could see her full name:

				Alexis	Kacey
				Alyssa	Kelsey
				Ashley	Kyleigh
Alexis	Addison	Eames		Haleigh	Paige

It was a fun process. We sat down at the pool at our apartment and reviewed the list together.  In the end we finalized her name as Alexis Addison Eames.  So looking forward to meeting her.
