Registry
My sister and my friend Michelle gave me a deadline of August 1st to register for my baby shower. To most people this probably doesn't sound that bad but keep in mind....I do not like to shop, talk to people and I know nothing about what a baby needs. So I procrastinated and stressed about it for three weeks. My mom sent me a great registry checklist to get started. After a few hours on the internet I found a registry website and had registered for two items....a thermometer and a Christmas outfit. I was getting nervous I would never get it done...but after lunch I was finally on a roll and got 75% of the "easier" things added. (clothes, baths stuff, wine...oh wait no that is not on the list:). I did research on the main items...stroller, car seat and after a little sticker shock have an idea of what we should get but want to check them out in the store. It is amazing how much stuff one little person needs.

What What? Who doesn't like to shop? That sounds a little cray-cray to me. ha ha
ReplyDeleteWe only gave you to the first in case you ran behind a few days, you'd still be FINE! Just think, as long as you have a good range of things, there is a Target and Babies R Us not far from you (or Amazon) to get stuff you decide you need afterward the shower or after Peanut arrives. It's probably a lot like Home Depot - you will feel like you are keeping them in business, and even may start to know they employees! Wish I was there to go with you, you know I would. At least hopefully the research part is fun?! Keep it up, proud of you!!!
ReplyDeleteDiapers, Diapers, Diapers! You will need lots of diapers. :-)
ReplyDeleteI will locate the "baby burrito" (aka swaddle wrap I used for Scout. I wrapped her in it at night and it was the only way she would sleep at night. When I wrapped the boys up in baby blankets, they would kick their way out and wake up.
ReplyDeleteI will take a look at the registry! Very exciting.
