Cole 14 Months, Alexis 34 Months

This last month has been different.  From solar eclipse to hurricanes/tropical storms we have not been on a schedule since the middle of August.  If you know me...I need my schedule:)  The kids are doing amazing and keeping us on our toes.  Here are some pictures of the last month or so.

Solar eclipse in Houston.  I followed the directions on the internet and made this so my mom and I could see it.  Can't believe it worked.
Cole was sleeping in his swing for the past few months.  He always had a stuffy nose and it was easier for him to sit up. We finally, PAINFULLY moved him back to his crib.  Looks so peaceful on the monitor.
Sleeping in his car seat.  Love the milk on his chin.

We were so blessed not to have any damage from Harvey. But it was a long, stressful five days in the house. Reading about friends who were flooded or couldn't leave their homes, listening to the constant rain and just wondering if it would ever end.  After the rain stopped Allen, my mom and I volunteered for a few days "mucking" homes and helping out where needed.  Mucking is removing all the carpet, drywall, doors...anything exposed to water. It was so sad to see so much loss.
Keeping Cole busy.  Checking out the rain

Cole 13 Months, Alexis 33 Months

This past month has gone by so fast.  It is summer in Texas.  Hot and humid.  I joined the gym for the summer.  The kids love playing at the kids corner a few times a week.  Once a week we also go to bible study so they get to play with some friends.  We are taking swim lessons at the house once a week.  Some weeks they are great and others they cry for the entire lesson:(  They are both constantly changing and making us smile.

Alexis is starting to potty train and we are about 80% there.  She is such a lawyer.  She is supposed to get one mini marshmallow if she uses the potty. She has negotiated it to three:)  She loves playing "workout" and making up songs.  She leads us all in "Happy Birthday" and wants us to clap.  She even gets Cole to clap his hands.  She is a leader for sure.  When we read to her before bedtime she started saying all the animals in one of her books was "dog poop" ???? No idea where she got this from and it was a bit annoying but she is finally almost over it.

Cole is a toddler. He is crawling up the stairs any chance he can get. He is also climbing up on the kids table and chairs.  Can't let him out of your sight for a second.  He is eating with a spoon.  He loves to dance.  If you put on music he just starts dancing.

Here are some pictures from the last month:

Alexis loves Thomas the Train.  She also loves to get dressed herself.  Love this outfit.
