June 2022

We had many adventures in June.  Here are some pictures...

At the end of the school year we had an art show and family picnic.  Each art docent hung up two pictures per student. It was amazing to see how many student each docent volunteered to teach.  Most of us had 2-4 classes.  So a lot of art to hang up.

Cole is posing next to the art for his class.  We drew and painted Pigeon from the Mo Williams books.  I always practice at home with the kids before I lead the lesson. This lesson we did as a family where I instructed them how to draw the pigeon. Allen was having fun and drew funny things next to the pigeon.

While hanging the art work I noticed this picture on the back of Cole's painting:)

Action shot of Cole...Love him siting with his legs crossed.

Alexis and Allen went down to our beach and found this old boat.

Our neighbor gave this game to the kids...they love it.

The first grade teachers are AMAZING.  They had a last ten day count down for school and each day was a theme.  This day was popcorn day. They enjoyed many different types and were able to watch a movie.

This day was camping day...they did their classwork in tents. (under their desk)

Then they had s'mores. Alexis's teacher is so great. She posts pictures of all the kids doing each activity. She is so thoughtful.
Circus Day.  I volunteered to paint faces.  I have never done this before but it was so much fun.

Beach Day.  At the end of school one of the local families opens there beach for each grade to spend at the beach.  I was able to volunteer to go with the kids.  Cole jumped right into the beach activities.

Alexis and her friend Addie showing us the crabs they collected.

Field Day. Fun and silly games.

In one weekend Alexis had three birthday parties.  On Saturday she went to Dancing Brush for Harper's party. She spend the day with her family and then slept over.  Her first friend sleepover.

Sunday she had two birthday parties.  The first one I didn't get any pictures.  Here is one from Olivia's birthday party.

Sunflower art

Our last book fair at the school. They sent us one cash register.  I am in purple ringing up 102 people in 2 hours:)  The line wrapped around the gym.

Super sad to sell my double BOB stroller.  So many great memories.  It went to a good family.

Class assignment for Alexis. They had to write about her favorite part of her. She said her shoulder. Which made me cry.  Her left shoulder is slightly elevated due to an extra vertebrae.  I've always worried about it. She says it makes her unique.

Allen finally made his dream of all vehicles in the garage.

He made this built-in cabinet area.  Pretty impressive.

I am not sure how this is comfortable

My mom took Alexis to a Silent Disco dance at school.  The rest of us were home sick.

Fun at the park

Sometimes he is just too cute.  He is wearing sweatpants, Christmas socks and brown loafers
