April & May 2018

It has been a busy and exciting two months.  At the end of January we decided we wanted to move to Washington. We wanted to move to a place we both love for our kids to grow up. Allen was stationed in WA when he was in the Navy 20+ years ago.  He always wanted to come back.  Allen went on a house hunting trip in January.  We found out he was going to let go from Hess...we were not surprised it was a mass layoff and he had let them know he was open to a package. We put our house on the market and did not expect it to sell so fast.  Once we were under contract Allen went back to Washington to find us a house.  He looked at a ton of homes and found an amazing home.  It is perfect for our family.

We were super busy packing, dealing with double inspections, having going away parties, celebrating Easter, birthdays, Mother's Day and all the fun details that go with moving.   We packed ourselves and hired a moving company to pack the furniture and load boxes into the U-boxes (similar to Pods).  We shipped our cars.  We stayed in a hotel room in Texas for two nights and three days in Washington. We moved into the house and lived without our furniture for two weeks.  The kids were great and enjoyed the adventure.  Here are pictures over the last few months.
