Cole 15 Months, Alexis 35 Months

This month was a LONG month.  Allen and I were able to finally get everything out of my mom's storage unit.  After two years it is finally empty.

Allen carrying the last item.

The next day Allen was very ill.  I was scared and called a friend who is a nurse.  Her husband is a  PA so he  stopped by to give us some stuff to help Allen sleep through the night.  He was too sick to get to the emergency room.  The next day we spent all day at the ER.  Allen had a 6mm kidney stone.  The opening to pass a stone is 2mm:(  Three surgeries and five weeks later he is finally better.  I only took this picture once I knew he was going to be ok:)

This last month was scary and stressful due to Allen's health. But was have such amazing family and friends. So thankful to my mom who helped me every day/night with the kids, to our friends Ana and Audrey who brought us meals, took care of Alexis, checked in on us.  And everyone who checked in to see how we were doing.  And to Allen for being a great patient and letting us take care of him.

Cole 14 Months, Alexis 34 Months

This last month has been different.  From solar eclipse to hurricanes/tropical storms we have not been on a schedule since the middle of August.  If you know me...I need my schedule:)  The kids are doing amazing and keeping us on our toes.  Here are some pictures of the last month or so.

Solar eclipse in Houston.  I followed the directions on the internet and made this so my mom and I could see it.  Can't believe it worked.
Cole was sleeping in his swing for the past few months.  He always had a stuffy nose and it was easier for him to sit up. We finally, PAINFULLY moved him back to his crib.  Looks so peaceful on the monitor.
Sleeping in his car seat.  Love the milk on his chin.

We were so blessed not to have any damage from Harvey. But it was a long, stressful five days in the house. Reading about friends who were flooded or couldn't leave their homes, listening to the constant rain and just wondering if it would ever end.  After the rain stopped Allen, my mom and I volunteered for a few days "mucking" homes and helping out where needed.  Mucking is removing all the carpet, drywall, doors...anything exposed to water. It was so sad to see so much loss.
Keeping Cole busy.  Checking out the rain

Day One of the Storm...enjoying some wine and milk:)

What?  I'm tired of being inside too
Some friends stayed with us one night. The bayou near their home looked like it might overflow. So Alexis had a friend and the kids had a dog to play with
 Having fun with Jasmine
