Cole 4 Months, Alexis 23 Months

Cole turned 4 months on 11/14.  He weighs 14lbs 4oz.  He is 25.5 inches long and his head is 16 1/4.  He is such a happy baby.  He is always smiling.  He is starting to roll over and is getting better control of his hands.  He loves being held and wants to be in the action.  He really wants to play with Alexis.  His eyes and attention follow Mommy and Daddy when he sees them.  He is up a few times at night and isn't on a consistent nap schedule yet.

Alexis turned 23 months on 10/25.  She is so talkative.  Everyday she is saying more words and can say most of the letters in the alphabet and can count to 10 (sometimes she skips numbers but is getting better). She can identify primary colors and is learning her shapes.  She is really smart and keeps us on her toes.  At first she would say the number 2 when looking at the letter S.  Now she knows the difference but will say "2" and give us a little smile. She is so cute.  She started calling Allen "home".  My mom and I would say "Daddy's home" when he was home from work. She just shortened it to home.  We keep correcting her and think she might do it on purpose now:)  We are in so much trouble.

Here are some pictures over the last month:

Cole always wants to be held but isn't really a fan of this carrier.  I just thought this picture was funny.  A few minutes later he was sleeping.
Alexis is pointing out Cole's eyes for me.  So cute. Don't worry Cole can still see:)
I can totally see what she will look like when she is a teenager.  Love this picture.
Alexis is so great with Cole.  She is giving him some of her balls. She is really good about giving him toys. If he starts crying she will find his pacifier and give it to him.
Alexis is reading to Cole.  She is such a great big sister.
Cole with his grumpy face, Nana, Alexis and Jessica getting ready to try our new church
Celebrating Nana's birthday.  Alexis went right for the cupcake and frosting.  The only place she had a cupcake is at school for another student's birthday. I didn't know she knew the word frosting.
Eating ice cream with Mommy for the first time.  Yummy
I love taking pictures of Cole when he is sleeping.  I mean...come on so cute.
Texas is so proud of being Texas.  I thought this was funny.  Our grocery store has a line of "Made in Texas"  They also add "Texas Tough" on some products--like parchment paper.
Check out those boots.  Looking so stylish
What?  Mom I am sharing my toys with Cole.

Everyone sits on a toilet backwards in the kitchen.  This is a normal day at our house:)
Sleeping baby...so cute.  Love this blue stuffed animal from Uncle Mike the Great
Alexis, Mommy and Cole getting ready for church
 Cutie pie
 Playing outside.
Alexis, Daddy and Cole having fun
 Got my feet
When Alexis went to the dentist for a check up they gave her this orange ball.  She calls it "The Dentist"  We are always wondering "Where is the dentist?"  She says it all the time and we are always looking for this ball.   It was missing for a few days and turned up in my car.  I texted Allen.."I found the dentist, he was in my car"  How funny is that text.
Alexis is doing a plank over Cole.

On one of Allen and Alexis's walks she decided to ride under the stroller
 So cute
 Happy 4 months Cole!
 Love this picture.  Always smiling
Cole has the best laugh.

We are so blessed.  Love these two.

Halloween 2016

We had some professional fall pictures taken of the kids. They came out great.

I took this one of Cole.  Yes he is balancing on pumpkins:)
After the photo shoot we let Alexis play on the playground.  Having fun with Daddy.
 Daddy and Alexis
 Cole in his Halloween PJ's
Cole had three Halloween onesies, pj's and a costume.  You would think it was my favorite holiday.
My Mom made this onesie.  We wore it to Zoo Boo
Alexis was a fairy this year.  It was fun to watch her run with wings on.
At the Zoo with her friend Jasmine
We met some friends at a fall/Halloween festival.  It was so hot and humid.  This is one of two rides we made it on before going home.
Cole in another Halloween onesie.  The kids having fun

Cole in his sea turtle costume.  It is super cute but so impractical in Texas.  It was too hot so I put him in the costume for pictures in November:)

Pat and Gene's Visit

We are so happy my aunt and uncle could visit us again.  We love spending time with them. This trip they brought some amazing weather with them. We were able to spend time in the backyard.  Allen took Gene on several walks and on a mountain bike ride so he could see the back country.  It was a relaxing trip and we had a lot of quality  time together.  We watched the election results together four years ago and had so much fun.  This year we watched together again and it was not nearly as much fun.   Here are a few pictures from their trip.

Alexis had so much fun playing with Gene.  Here they are coloring with chalk outside

Alexis is showing Gene her toys
Having fun together
Gene mountain biking.  Love the sign.  I can just hear Gene saying something funnyabout it
 Alexis spending time with Pat
Cole and Nana, Pat and Alexis.  Gene watching:)
Gene found this leaf and pointed out even the leaves are bigger in Texas!
For Alexis's birthday Pat and Gene generously gave her waffle blocks. We played with them when I was a kid at their house and had hours and hours of fun.  It brought back such great memories.  Alexis playing with Daddy.
Love this picture.  Reminds me of Danielle (my sister).
Pat and Cole cuddling

Thank you so much for visiting us.  It was so great to see you both.  Miss and love you.
