California Visit

Our summer vacation was a trip to California to introduce Alexis to our friends and family. We had a great visit and Alexis was a perfect traveler.

Alexis enjoyed waving to everyone as they got on the plane. She was great on the plane.

We arrived on Wednesday night. We had dinner with Michelle and Dan at our hotel. We didn't take any pictures--so unlike us.

Thursday morning we visited Allen's Mom. Grandma Andrea was so excited to meet Alexis.

I met my friends for lunch while Allen and Dan had lunch.

After lunch we met my Aunt Maryann and Jack at our hotel for cocktails and dinner.

On Friday morning we went back to visit Grandma Andrea.

For lunch we met with my cousin Diane, James and Rich. Diane gave Alexis the book Good Night Moon. She is enjoying it. She also received a super cute dress. Thank you Diane

Bev and Mark met us in our hotel room so they could spend time with Alexis. She was great.

Friday night we met with some family and friends for a potluck dinner. Thank you for the welcome sign Michelle.

On Saturday we drove to Santa Maria. On our way we stopped in Ventura to have lunch with Alice and David. As usual the food was great.

We had dinner at Dave and Shelly's. Alexis is a bit overtired.

We met Sheri and her family for lunch

Allen's cousins came over for a visit and gave Alexis a lot of nice clothes. We can't wait until she can wear them.

On our way to LA we stopped in Thousand Oaks to have lunch with Allen's cousin Linda.

We spent the night in LA and flew home the next day.

Goodbye California

We had a great trip. So great to see everyone. We miss the California weather and all or friends and family. We are so blessed.

My Dad was able to visit us for a week and meet Alexis for the first time. Aunt Danielle and Uncle Trevor were also able to visit us. We had a great time. The last time the four of us were together was New Year's Eve in 2007. Way too long. Here are some fun pictures from their visit.

My Dad decided he would twirl each of the kids around in a circle and then throw us into the deep end...just like when we were kids. It was fun.

We celebrated my Dad's birthday while he was visiting. He turns 65 on July 15th. We made French toast for breakfast, strawberry shortcake was our dessert. Danielle did a great job cooking. Yummy!

Happy Birthday Dad! A new laptop so we can continue to Skype each week.

We were at Discovery Green in downtown Houston. We visited Allen's office and the apartment complex were we lived.

We had a wonderful visit and hope we can do it again soon. Love you Dad.

Our first Father's Day

We had a relaxing Father's Day. We stayed home and enjoyed the day together.

Solid Food for the First Time

We fed Alexis homemade rice cereal for her first solid food on June 19, 2015. She really wasn't much of a fan.

You can tell she is excited. She is grabbing her foot.

We will continue to try new foods. Hopefully we find something she will eat.

First Time in the pool

The first time Alexis went into the pool was on June 3, 2015. She loved it! She enjoyed her float for over 30 minutes. Since then she has been in the pool numerous times. We love how much she is enjoying it. We also love how tired she is afterwards...she has no problem going to sleep after being in the pool.
