October 2021

Our October adventures

I usually sell our slightly used toys and clothes at a consignor sale called JBF (Just between friends). This fall I tagged and sold items for five other women.  It was a bit intense.  We had clothes in every closet.  Throughout the house we had baby swings, car seats, basinets.  But it was worth it we did well at the sale and helped out some mom's.

Cole hanging out with me while I am tagging clothes.  He is watching a video and snacking.
Alexis chatting with one of her friends.  Love the background she chose
We sold Allen's truck and purchased a jeep to tow behind the RV.

First drive with the kids...top down and music on. Can't wait for summer.
From our garden.  It did amazing this year
Another drive in the jeep

Alexis being silly
This summer one of the park activities was to grow carrots and radishes.  Our vegetables finally arrived. First taste test.
We attended a friends second birthday party. Happy Birthday Josh

Pumpkin picking

Corn maze fun

We sort of started a tradition of going to our local Mexican restaurant on Friday nights. Coloring, cocktails and chips
Halloween...skeleton and vampire
They were able to wear their costumes to school.
The school usually takes the kindergarteners on a field trip to pick pumpkins.  Unfortunately this year they couldn't go so several parents volunteered to make a pumpkin patch at school.

We hosted a Halloween dinner at our house before trick-or-treating.  Cole & Alexis are helping make witches fingers (pretzels covered in chocolate with almond nails)
Witches caldron with pumpkin spice dip.
On Halloween we had a break from the rain and amazing sunny weather. We took the kids to our favorite park, Battle Point Park. We made friends with a family stationed in Japan but sort of stranded in Bainbridge until a flight home was available.  We invited them to join us for dinner and trick-or-treating.

Pumpkin carving

Alexis does not like touching the pumpkin insides:)
Allen did an amazing job carving the pumpkins
Olive spiders on pizza

We hosted 15 kids and ?? parents.  It was a bit crazy but fun.
My next door neighbor Dru and I getting ready to trick-or-treat
Our neighbors were so amazing...everyone gave out candy and was excited to see the kids.

The aftermath...a few came back to our house to play while the adults had cocktails on the deck. So fun.
