Alexis turns 2

Alexis turned two on 11/25/16.  How is this possible?  Our baby is growing up so fast.  I wanted to make sure she learns early on to celebrate her birthday for at least a month.  We had a party at our house with friends, opened gifts when Pat and Gene were here visiting, a celebration on her birthday and a party at school.

Pictures from her birthday party.  We had a brunch for friends on 11/12/16. We served homemade egg muffins and banana muffins, bagels and fruit. For the adults we had mimosas and bloody Mary's.  We were so lucky we had amazing weather.  The theme was Thomas the Train.  Her friends who attended were Asher, Jasmine, Lucyna, Alex (from workout), Dylan (school), and Jessica (neighbor).

Alexis in her birthday outfit. She loved the balloons.

We had amazing weather for a November weekend.  Here are some friends..Brad, Audrey and Ana.
Having fun...Jessica (neighbor), Jasmine, Asher & Alexis

We sang Happy Birthday to Alexis with a banana muffin.  I didn't think two year olds needed cupcakes.  After we sang one of the kids said..."Where is the cake?"  So cute.  Alexis and I practiced singing Happy Birthday so much she can sing it herself. We always ended the song by saying "to youuuuuuu" and shaking our heads.

Brad is explaining something really important to Asher and Alexis

I had to take a picture before helping them.  Jasmine and Asher fighting over the car
No idea what she was pointing at but loved the picture
We opened gifts after she woke up from her nap
 So many balloons
Checking out a book we got as a gift
So many great gifts

Pat and Gene gave Alexis waffle blocks for her birthday.  My cousins had these when we were kids and I have so many great memories playing with them.

Happy Second Birthday Sweet Girl. We love you so much.

Cole 4 Months, Alexis 23 Months

Cole turned 4 months on 11/14.  He weighs 14lbs 4oz.  He is 25.5 inches long and his head is 16 1/4.  He is such a happy baby.  He is always smiling.  He is starting to roll over and is getting better control of his hands.  He loves being held and wants to be in the action.  He really wants to play with Alexis.  His eyes and attention follow Mommy and Daddy when he sees them.  He is up a few times at night and isn't on a consistent nap schedule yet.

Alexis turned 23 months on 10/25.  She is so talkative.  Everyday she is saying more words and can say most of the letters in the alphabet and can count to 10 (sometimes she skips numbers but is getting better). She can identify primary colors and is learning her shapes.  She is really smart and keeps us on her toes.  At first she would say the number 2 when looking at the letter S.  Now she knows the difference but will say "2" and give us a little smile. She is so cute.  She started calling Allen "home".  My mom and I would say "Daddy's home" when he was home from work. She just shortened it to home.  We keep correcting her and think she might do it on purpose now:)  We are in so much trouble.

Here are some pictures over the last month:

Cole always wants to be held but isn't really a fan of this carrier.  I just thought this picture was funny.  A few minutes later he was sleeping.
Alexis is pointing out Cole's eyes for me.  So cute. Don't worry Cole can still see:)
I can totally see what she will look like when she is a teenager.  Love this picture.
Alexis is so great with Cole.  She is giving him some of her balls. She is really good about giving him toys. If he starts crying she will find his pacifier and give it to him.
Alexis is reading to Cole.  She is such a great big sister.
Cole with his grumpy face, Nana, Alexis and Jessica getting ready to try our new church
Celebrating Nana's birthday.  Alexis went right for the cupcake and frosting.  The only place she had a cupcake is at school for another student's birthday. I didn't know she knew the word frosting.
Eating ice cream with Mommy for the first time.  Yummy
I love taking pictures of Cole when he is sleeping.  I mean...come on so cute.
Texas is so proud of being Texas.  I thought this was funny.  Our grocery store has a line of "Made in Texas"  They also add "Texas Tough" on some products--like parchment paper.
Check out those boots.  Looking so stylish
What?  Mom I am sharing my toys with Cole.

Everyone sits on a toilet backwards in the kitchen.  This is a normal day at our house:)
Sleeping baby...so cute.  Love this blue stuffed animal from Uncle Mike the Great
Alexis, Mommy and Cole getting ready for church
 Cutie pie
 Playing outside.
Alexis, Daddy and Cole having fun
 Got my feet
When Alexis went to the dentist for a check up they gave her this orange ball.  She calls it "The Dentist"  We are always wondering "Where is the dentist?"  She says it all the time and we are always looking for this ball.   It was missing for a few days and turned up in my car.  I texted Allen.."I found the dentist, he was in my car"  How funny is that text.
Alexis is doing a plank over Cole.

On one of Allen and Alexis's walks she decided to ride under the stroller
 So cute
 Happy 4 months Cole!
 Love this picture.  Always smiling
Cole has the best laugh.

We are so blessed.  Love these two.
