Cole 2 Months, Alexis 21 Months

Cole turned two months on September 14th.  He weighs 12lbs 9oz and is 23 1/2 long.  He loves to smile and coo.  He sleeps up to 7 hours at night.  Although his night time sleep sometimes starts at 3pm:(  He loves being out and socializing.  He doesn't seem to be disturbed by his sister yelling or stealing his pacifier.  Alexis likes to put her finger to her lips and whisper "shh, Coley nigh, night" we will say yes, Cole is sleeping and then she will yell really loud.  She hasn't quite got the concept of whispering.

Alexis turned 21 months on August 25th. She weighs 26 lbs, 11oz and is 35" long.  She still takes a nap for 2-3 hours in the afternoon. Except on the days she goes to school:(  She usually doesn't take a nap then.  She loves to climb. Can't turn your back for a second and she is climbing up the side of the stairs, over the back of the couch or onto the kitchen island.  She is such a daredevil.  She has been sick three times over the last month.  School has been great but getting sick so much isn't so fun. Hope her immune system is getting stronger.

It has been so hot here.  We needed to find things to do that are inside.  So we went to Chuck E Cheese.  It is 5 minutes from us, air conditioned and not expensive (yet).  Totally different from when we were kids. Everything is a video game.  I miss the dancing characters.  Now it is a video screen.  The upside is Alexis is so young we don't need to pay to "play" the video games. She has no idea:)

 Barnes and Noble's is also air conditioned. So we have spent a lot of time there.  They have tons of stuffed animals for sale near the kids play area.  Alexis went right for Abby and Elmo from Sesame Street

We took the kids to the Houston Children's Museum. They have an entire floor dedicated to children under three. It is great.

I took Alexis and Cole to an indoor play place one day to get out of the house.  It is for toddlers.  It was really nice with a nursery to change diapers and nurse.

 We took Alexis out for Chinese food and sushi.  I tried to give her a California roll to try. She put it on a chopstick and was playing with it.  Of course when we tried to take a picture she put it down.  Guess she is not a fan of sushi yet:)
